Youth Entrepreneur Institute was founded in 2015 with a mission to inspire youth to unlock their creative talents and use them to make the world a better place. Our engaging, hands-on entrepreneurial programs and products strengthen critical life skills and give youth the opportunity to affect positive social change while earning money.
What is a creative economy?
The creative economy is intersection of arts, culture, and business, offering a unique opportunity to tap into the inherent creativity of youth and catalyze a youth-led economic revolution.
At YEI, art is more than expression—it’s a catalyst for innovation. It teaches our students to approach problems with creativity, empathy, and an entrepreneurial spirit, exposing them to and preparing them for DC’s vibrant Creative Economy.
