$mart Hustle Jr Camp
Want to learn how to run a business and do fun art projects ( like t-shirt printing, slime making, candle making) at the same time?
Join us in two action-packed weeks of hands-on fun where you will learn and apply entrepreneurship skills to launching your very own business. Fun activities, games, and outdoor recreation are included in both weeks. Youth will learn how to make custom t-shirts , create beauty products, learning money management and business fundamentals, using our specially designed STE(A)M business kits. The program ends with a pop-up shop for campers to sell their creations. Let’s get down to business!

Current youth business camps
Jr. Program at Ketcham Elementary School
Jan 2024 – May 2024 | 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm | Mon- Weds
3rd, 4th and 5th graders at Ketcham are learning how to design custom t-shirts and create beauty products in the BizBeauty and BizTee afterschool program. They are learning money management and business fundamentals. Youth will unveil their businesses at the launch event April 26,2024 followed by bi-weekly pop-up shops to sell their creations.
Bring our program to your school for 2025
Partner with YEI to teach our empowering programs at your school! Teachers at select DC schools can earn up to $60/hour from the comfort of your own classroom. Training, supplies and materials provided. Select sites are also provided with a YEI teaching artist and an peer mentor ( high school aged entrepreneur) to assist with program implementation.

BizBEAUTY Business Club
20 hours of ste(a)m activities + 20 hours business activities
Program Format Options:
2 hrs/week for 20 weeks
4 hrs/week for 10 weeks
Youth learn how to make bath and body products! They explore cosmetic chemistry, create beauty products like lip balms, whipped shea butters, bath bombs and candles. Youth learn how to make and design their very own cosmetic products. They learn about the ART and Science of making their own creative beauty products. What a way to learn molecules, mixtures, & compounds! Youth learn how using art and being a creator can help their product stand out.
Students also explore the fundamentals of money management, gain introductory business skills, and acquire crucial financial literacy knowledge. The program culminates in a pop-up shop to sell their creations.
BizTEE Business Club
20 hours of art activities + 20 hours business activities
Program Format Options:
2 hrs/week for 20 weeks
4 hrs/week for 10 weeks
In this program, students gain knowledge of the
fashion industry, learn art techniques and develop skills in fashion design, and branding. They learn how to make custom various articles of clothing (tshirts, hoodies and more), define their own brand, explore careers in art and more!
Students also explore the fundamentals of money management, gain introductory business skills, and acquire crucial financial literacy knowledge. The program culminates in a pop-up shop to sell their creations.
